Meet Dan
Dan Morrison is a Founding Partner and Wealth Advisor of Jacob William Advisory, a wealth management firm with the mission to empower clients to pursue their financial goals grounded on proactive communication, education, disciplined processes and service that exceeds expectations.
Dan Morrison and Mark Ring founded Jacob William Advisory in 2006 to put their clients and their dreams first.
Dan knows of no greater sense of accomplishment than seeing a client’s emotional life lifted by executing a well-thought-out plan for success. His roots influenced his mission to help clients.
He was raised by a father who worked two jobs and a mother who devoted herself to raising four children. He learned about the importance of hard work, balanced with faith and family, communication and trust.
Dan earned his Bachelor of Science in finance and economics from Towson University and earned a master’s degree in finance from the University of Baltimore.
Dan started his career in the financial industry first as a branch manager in banking and then as a financial representative for a top financial services and insurance firm, Maryland Agency Financial Group. Dan became a partner with MAFG in 2003, co-founding Jacob William Advisory three years later.
Dan has held the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) professional certification since 2001. He has also earned the professional designation of Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) as well as Chartered Advisor for Senior Living®.
He and his wife, Beth, reside outside of Baltimore, Maryland, and have three wonderful children. He enjoys time with his family most of all, playing golf and sailing – and a good book is never far from reach.
Dan also serves as a board member for The Pro Bono Counseling Project and Catholic Business Network of Baltimore, and is a member of the finance committee for the University of Baltimore Foundation.
