Meet Emily
As a current student, I feel that I can bring a fresh perspective of the financial world. I can also offer new ways of viewing the situation. Also, being raised by Ukrainian parents has allowed me to have a different view of finance than here in America.
I am a current student in my senior year at Towson University. I am majoring in Financial Planning and plan to take my CFP exam in the spring. I transferred to TU from Harford Community College where I earned my associates in Business Administration. I was on the President’s List every semester at HCC. In addition to studying, I have been working as a hostess at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Hospital for roughly 5 years. I was also trained as a call center associate, where I would take patients food orders.
I love spending time with my family. I come from a close-knit Ukrainian family, so the traditions are very important to me. We go to a Slavic church and I volunteer at the events organized for the children at church. I have been volunteering for the past 3 years at a kids summer camp. I love building relationships with the children and being an encouragement to them even after the camp is over. I also enjoy going to the gym, gardening, cooking, and knitting.
